“Good things, when Short, are twice as good” – Tom StoppardWe are identical twins who love to train, run and compete. And we’re not letting the 7,416km of distance between us get in the way of us enjoying this crazy journey together. Jess is in Bright, which is known for its easy access to outdoor adventure, mountains and some amazing wineries.
“I am a passionate trail runner, Hyrox athlete, and adventurer with a deep love for the outdoors and the mountains. Originally from the UK, I moved to Australia thirteen years ago, where I discovered trail running. My journey has taken me to Bright, the adventure capital of Australia, where I’ve not only found a home, but also a community of people that are also inspired by the outdoors and enjoy training as much as I do.Since moving to Australia, trail running has taken me on incredible adventures, from the rugged terrain of the Australian Alps to international races that have challenged me in ways I never imagined. Events like the UTMB Translantau 50km in Hong Kong, the UTMB CCC in Mont Blanc, and more local multi-day endurance races like the 4 Peaks and Lara Pinta have pushed my limits, but more importantly, they’ve introduced me to a global community of passionate athletes. Through these races, I’ve learned the value of perseverance, humility, and the joy of shared experiences. Each race brings new lessons, and I’m constantly inspired by the people I meet, the stories we share, and the resilience we build together. My goal is to carry that spirit back to my own community, fostering a sense of connection through the outdoors and encouraging others to embrace the challenges that help us grow, both as athletes and individuals. In addition to racing, I’m the Founder and President of the Alpine Multi Skill Group, where I lead workshops and create safe spaces for women to embrace learning, development and connecting with each other. I’ve also just finished in a two year role as Executive Officer overseeing the management and operations of Mystic Mountain Bike Park with Alpine Community Plantation, ensuring that outdoor recreation remains accessible and inclusive. When not on the trails or leading community initiatives, I channel my creativity through Three Wise Sheep Productions, a company I co-founded to tell “Fierce Female Stories” in comedy. Our work has been recognised globally, with accolades from the BAFTA and Oscar-accredited LA Shorts Film Festival and features in Tatler Asia and The Female Lead.”Imogen lives in Hong Kong, which boasts some of the best trail running in Asia, along with sanity-testing humidity and dizzying skyscrapers. These cities are our playgrounds – to explore, connect and find balance. Here’s the story of our adventure.Living apart. Training together. Creating adventure.
