“Good things, when Short, are twice as good” – Tom Stoppard
We’re Jess and Imogen – identical twins living on opposite sides of the world, connected by a lifelong love of adventure, the outdoors and seeing just how far we can push ourselves. Jess calls Bright, Australia home, while Imogen lives in Hong Kong, giving us access to two of the world’s most incredible adventure playgrounds.
Over the years we’ve found ourselves running mountain trails across Europe, climbing alpine peaks, racing through jungles, tackling HYROX arenas, chasing finish lines from local events to World Championships, and discovering that the stories worth telling rarely come from the races that go perfectly.
This website started as a place to share race reports with family and friends. It has grown into something much bigger.
It’s a collection of adventures.
Some involve running 100 kilometres through the mountains.
Others involve getting completely lost in a foreign country, finding the best local café after a race, travelling with our family, building communities around sport, or learning the occasional lesson the hard way.
Along the way we’ve discovered that adventure isn’t about standing on podiums or collecting medals. It’s about saying yes to opportunities, embracing the unknown, finding confidence through challenge and meeting incredible people who inspire us to keep exploring.
Although we now live on opposite sides of the world, running has always kept us connected.
Jess lives in Bright, Victoria, where the mountains are part of everyday life. Working in strategic planning and community development, she is passionate about creating places that encourage people to get outdoors and be active. Away from work she’s an endurance coach, community leader and competitive athlete, balancing trail and mountain running with HYROX and hybrid racing. She has represented Australia internationally, competed at HYROX World Championships and continues to chase new challenges while helping others discover what they’re capable of through sport and community.
Imogen lives in Hong Kong, where a demanding career is balanced with an equally impressive appetite for adventure. Surrounded by some of Asia’s best trails, she has developed into an accomplished trail runner while combining her love of travel, storytelling and personal branding. Whether she’s exploring Hong Kong’s mountains, racing overseas or helping others tell their own stories through her business, she brings creativity, humour and perspective to everything she does.
Despite living thousands of kilometres apart, not much has changed.
We’re still incredibly competitive with each other.
We still convince ourselves that signing up for another race is a sensible idea.
We still spend far too much time planning trips around events rather than the other way around.
And we still believe the best adventures are the ones that leave you with great stories to tell afterwards.
Because life is far too short to wait for the perfect moment.
No half measures. No half pours.
